Responsible for coordinating research in physiology, administering cardiopulmonary
stress testing, ECG, treadmill testing, assessment of body composition
and fitness
evaluation.
Graduate Research Assistant, Molecular Biology Laboratory, MIU, lowa.
Participated in research on the mechanism of P-450 gene regulation and
its expression in
cancer pathology, funded by the National Institute of Health. Studied
HIV transcription
regulation and performed preliminary research on its similarity to P-450
regulation.
Graduate Research Assistant, Laboratory for Health and Aging Studies,
MIU, lowa. Initiated a research project on the physiology of aging and
longevity and co-directed a pilot study that enabled the department to
receive
a grant to complete the study.
Elective internship, National Children's Hospital, Dublin, Ireland.
Selected for a Pediatrics Internship based on outstanding medical credentials
and a strong
reference from the Dean of the medical school.
Research Assistant, Department of Sports Medicine, Ege University.
Volunteered
for the administration of a citywide research project on the cardiopulmonary
effects of controlled exercise.
